Spring Fever!

IT'S OFFICIALLY SPRING!
And apart from the weather improving (Pfft!), it clearly means its time for new clothes. Do you not agree?
You should all know that I have a bit of a thing for bold colours and patterns...in particular florals and spots. I have a massive, enormous, MONSTROUS hatred of pale colours and pastels. I look like the Michelin Man in them, they completely wash me out, and in general I just have deep rooted issues with them, ergo you will not find me blogging about pastels...

I've put together my spring wishlists from a few of my favourite shops:

I can always rely on H&M to have amazing prints, Leopard print mixed with florals....YES PLEASE! I'm so impressed with their Inclusive range, although a lot of plus size bloggers don't find it as attractive as me - but beautiful, PRETTY, ladylike dresses and skirts in flattering shapes, it's like they just knew I'd love it - unfortunately it is a one-off collection which is such a shame.

Tesco is a secret favorite of mine. I always find cute little day dresses there that don't break the bank, and normally look more expensive than they are. They're never made with cheap, harsh fabrics and the dresses are normally in quite nice cuts, so that if you're like me an have a bit of a tum, you'll be able to find something to pull you in at the waist.  Don't get me wrong, not all items are amazing, but if you keep an eye out there are often a few new items every few weeks that will take your fancy.

Dorothy Perkins do cute shoes, cardigans and dresses - right now I am a very big fan of ALL the poppy print they have online and in store's. I seem to have gone poppy crazy this season. I think thats all I need to say on the matter.

I would love to have a different Monsoon dress for everyday of the year, everything is so classy, and they always have pretty dresses suitable for all occasions. The thing i like most is that everything is a nice length, a good shape, and most of the designs are quite classic. I hate going shopping and finding that everything I like flashes bum and boobs but I don't seem to have this issue at Monsoon, as everything (aka all my jiggly bits) is just covered enough.

I obviously cannot afford all of this, but a girl can dream....

If anyone would like to buy me all of this I would gladly accept!!

MAC Wonder Woman

When i first heard that MAC Cosmetics were launching a Wonder Woman Collection, i got really excited about it. Their Venomous Villains Collection, released towards the end of last year, was amazing, it has to be my favourite MAC collection yet, and because of that i assumed that the WW Collection would be just as powerful.

Sadly i was wrong.

When i saw promo shots of the products i was quite disappointed if i'm being honest. Some of the colours just weren't things that i'd ever wear, in particular the pigments, shadows and mascaras. (Bright FUCHSIA pigment.....erm no thanks!) 

I had ordered a few items from the Selfridges website before the products were available to buy from counters, because i didnt want to miss out on the select few items that i did want to coat my face in.

Wonder Woman Powder Blush in Mighty Aphrodite is delicious. The majority of it is a warm peachy coral blush which looks fantastic against my paler-than-pale paleface, the rest is a dark rose pink coral, so you can wear it light and peachy or add the pink for a stronger colour. Both colours have a lovely golden pearl running through them, a lot like the shimmer running through the Mineralize Powder Blushes. I'm really pleased i got this, especially since it's so hard to find peachy corals rather than ultra pink ones. 

I also bought the Wonder Woman Penultimate Eye Liner, i am a big fan of the Penultimate Liner in Rapidblack anyway, and when i saw this i just had to have it. When it first arrived i was a bit dubious about how well it would go on considering the size of the tip (JUMBO!), but i shouldn't have had any fears as it glided on just was well as its junior. Its brilliant if you want really strong, effortless definition around your eyes.

And finally, my third purchase was the Wonder Woman Satin Lipstick in Spitfire (on the right), as i already have Russian Red. Anyone who knows me will know that i have a weakness for lipsticks, especially bright and dark ones. Originally, i thought this lipstick would be a lot darker and when it arrived i was shocked at its true colour, but once i put it on a layered it up it i was happy with the final results. Its a really intense magenta colour, which doesn't need to be re-applied every 5 minutes. Yes, it has been tried and tested and i am pleased to say that it is foodproof, drinkproof, rainproof and nightoutproof.
